Production Group Settings

The production group settings allow you to define the groups’ technical information, which are extremely important for the engineering operation. For this reason, it is necessary to be aware that improper changes may result in miscalculations, disrupting the engineering operation in the budget and the production order. Here, we will describe how to add a functionality to a Production Group and which ones are relevant for a Form product.

For more information on configuring production groups, see Production Group. Most importantly, the following topics:

Linking a functionality to the Production Group

For the system to be able to estimate your products, you must first set up an existing Production Group or create a new one, by adding the necessary functionalities to it. For that, follow the steps detailed below:

Note: You must have enabled the following access options to be able to add a functionality to the Production Group: EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > ENGINEERING > PRODUCTION GROUP > PRODUCTION GROUP ADVANCED SETTINGS.

In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Engineering > Production Group or enter "Production Group" in the Quick Search field.

Click to select the appropriate Production Group.

Note: You must create a Production Group, if you have not done that yet. Refer to “Add Production Groups.”

Click on Advanced Settings.

Click on Functionalities.

Click on New.

Complete the fields as described below:

Functionalities

These are the functionalities that iQuote uses to estimate Form products:

1096 – Multi Roll Lamination. The system uses this functionality when your Form product has more than one ply. See more details about it on Setting functionality 1096 – Multi Roll Lamination.

Note: For more information about the multiple plies scenario, see Products With More Than One Ply.

1094 – Roll Core. The system uses this functionality if the product has the Fanfold delivery type. See more details on how to configure them on Setting functionality 1094 – Roll Core.

1097 – Fanfold Maker. The system uses this functionality if the product has the Fanfold delivery type. See more details on how to configure them on Setting functionality 1097 – Fanfold Maker.

1003 – Guillotine Cutter. The system uses this functionality if the product has the Sheet delivery type. See more details on how to configure them on 1003 – Guillotine Cutter.

If the product has color configuration, you will need one of the Printing functionalities. See more details about them on Printing Functionalities.
