Engineering Records

The purpose of this iQuote guide is to provide basic information on the Engineering Records and to describe the main buttons, windows and configurations required to add, edit and delete such records as well as other information relevant to this step in the system’s implementation process.

There are several records required to parameterize the Product Engineering used in the Estimate and in the Jobs. The recorded information will determine how the system operates so they are extremely important in iQuote. See in the table below all Records with a brief description.

The user is required to have enabled the following access options to be able to access the Product Specification Records:

	Relief Plate	Allows the user to add relief plate for using in the Product Engineering.
	Wire-o	Allows the user to add Wire-o materials for using in the Product Engineering.
	Substrates	Allows the user to add substrates for using in the Product Engineering.
	Microcorrugated	Allows the user to add microcorrugated materials for using in the Product Engineering.
	Die Cutting Blade	Allows the user to add die cutting blades for using in the Product Engineering.
	Ink	Allows the user to add inks for using in the Product Engineering.
	Plate	Allows the user to add plates for using in the Product Engineering.
	Glue	Allows the user to add glues for using in the Product Engineering.
	Box	Allows the user to add boxes for using in the Product Engineering.
	Pallet	Allows the user to pallets for using in the Product Engineering.
	Strap	Allows the user to add strap materials for using in the Product Engineering.
	Bag	Allows the user to add bag types for using in the Product Engineering.
	Wire Stitch	Allows the user to add wire stitching materials for using in the Product Engineering.
Engineering Component Types		Allows the user to add Engineering components for using in the Product Engineering.
Engineering Characteristics Types		Allows the user to add Engineering characteristics for using in the Product Engineering.
Production Groups Manufacturers		Allows the user to add the machine manufacturer for using in the Production Group.
Production Groups Technical Publication		Allows the user to add publication that, when linked to Production Groups, will allow users without advanced access to the Production Group to edit machine’s technical data.
Production Groups Classification		Allows the user to add classifications for using in the Production Group, which can be used as filters in this Record.
Commercial Characteristics		Allows the user to add commercial information filters for using in the Production Group to orientate the Product Engineering.
Machine Set-up Type		Allows the user to add types of machine set-up for using in the Production Group setting.
Color Types		Allows the user to add types of colors for using when setting the printing functionalities in the Production Groups.
Estimate Test Cases Group		Allows the user to add test case groups for using in the Production Group.
Production Groups		Allows the user to add double-faced tapes the Product Engineering will use as filters.
Speed Table		Allows the user to add speed tables for using in the Production Groups.
Production Group Scopes		Allows the user to record the scopes used for determining Production Groups behaviors in the Product Engineering.
Waste Table		Allows the user to add waste tables for using in the Production Groups.
Substrate Standards		Allows the user to add substrate standards used to define characteristics common for the substrates. In this record is possible to define, for example, trimmed wastes and effective use percentage.
Activities		Allows the user to record activities groups used to organize activity types such as pre press, printing, finishing etc, so that those activities can be easily viewed in the Jobs, Reports and Product Engineering.
Activity Types		Allows the user to record activity types for using in the Production Groups. In this Record is possible to define, for example, which activities will be displayed in the Product Engineering and which will be planned.
K16 Indicator		Allows the user to record K16 Intiptors for using in the Production Groups and price lists.
Engineering General Settings		Allows the user to set general information for the Product Engineering to create simulations.
