K16 Indicator
The K16 indicator is a standard signature format which can be used as a reference by the system.
The K16 indicator is a record that allows the user to define a standard signature format which can be used as a reference by the system to indicate how many prints with 16 pages a machine is doing, according to the signature format.
The user is required to have enabled the following access options, for adding the K16 Indicator:
EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > ENGINEERING > K16 INDICATOR
Information on the K16 Indicator
Go to Sales > Records > iQuote > Engineering > K16 Indicator

Add K16 Indicator
In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Engineering > K16 Indicator or enter "K16 Indicator" in the Quick Search field
On the Formats tab, click Add and complete the fields as described below:

It allows the user to set the number of pages used as default for the K16 indicator. |
On the Production Groups that will use the indicator tab click Add and complete the fields as described below:

It allows the user to set the unit of measurement used to present the K16 indicator. |
Repeat steps 2 to 3 for including the K16 indicators.
When finished, click Save.
Tip: To calculate the K16 indicator when creating the Engineering, the system will consider the minimum and maximum sizes and the number of pages reported in the K16 indicator record. The system uses the following calculation:
(1 / no. of pages set) * no. of pages in the layout entering the machine = indicator K16 for 1 print.
For example, if the product size is 200 x 266, considering the K16 configuration below:
If the machine is doing a 16-page signature in one print, the K16 factor for this format is 1:
(1/16) * 16 = 1
If the machine is doing a 8-page signature in one print, the K16 factor for this format is 0,5:
(1/16) = 0.5 * 8
Edit K16 Indicator
The user is required to have enabled the following access options, for editing the K16 Indicator:
In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Engineering > K16 Indicator or enter "K16 Indicator" in the Quick Search field
Both in the Formats and in the Production Groups that will use the indicator tabs click the appropriate indicator’s field and edit it as needed. For more information on the buttons and fields in this screen refer to “Add K16 Indicator”.
When finished, click Save.
Delete K16 Indicator
The user is required to have enabled the following access options to be able to delete the K16 Indicator:
In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Engineering > K16 Indicator or enter "K16 Indicator" in the Quick Search field
Both in the Formats and in the Production Groups that will use the indicator tabs click the appropriate indicator and then click Delete.
When finished, click Save.
