Production Groups Technical Publication

In the Production Groups’ Technical Publication record it is possible to define which publications allow some of the functionalities technical information fields to be edited in the simplified settings screen, when linked to production groups. For more information, refer "Edit Production Group Simplified Settings.” 

 

Information on the Production Groups Technical Publication Record Window

Go to Sales > Records > iQuote > Engineering > Production Groups Technical Publication

Add Production Groups Technical Publication

The user is required to have enabled the following access options, for adding production groups technical publications:

EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > ENGINEERING > PUBLICATION RECORD > ADD PUBLICATION

 

In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Engineering > Production Group technical publication or enter "Production Group technical publication" in the Quick Search field

Click Add. The following screen will open:

Complete the fields as described below:

Field

Description

Description

Publication name. The user can link more than one publication to the same Production Group.

Functionality

Functionality whose technical fields the publication will access. When the user selects a functionality its technical fields will be available on the Publications area so it is possible to choose what fields will be published.

Active

Indicates if the Engineering component will be available for use in the Estimate and in the Job.

On the Publication area, click New.

Complete the fields as described below:

Configuration

The functionality fields to be displayed in the simplified configuration window in the Production Group. For more information, refer to "Add Technical Fields To The Production Group Simplified Configuration Window.”

Publication Notes

Allows the user to group repeated fields by typing the field’s name (for example, "margins") when there are more than one functionalities in the Production Group with a publication, that is, when it is executed by more than one different functionality inside the same Production Group. This way, the similar fields are grouped together. For more information, refer to "Add Technical Fields To The Production Group Simplified Configuration Window.”

When finished, click Save.

Note: After the publication is added, link it to the appropriate functionality through the Production Group advanced settings. For more information, refer to "Add Functionalities to the Production Group.”

 

Edit Production Groups Technical Publication

The user is required to have enabled the following access options, for editing production group’s technical publications:

EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > ENGINEERING > PUBLICATION RECORD > EDIT PUBLICATION

 

In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Engineering > Production Group technical publication or enter "Production Group technical publication" in the Quick Search field

Click the appropriate publication to select it.

Click Edit.

Edit as needed. For more information on the buttons and fields on this screen, refer to “Add Production Group Technical Publications.”

When finished, click Save.

 

Delete Production Groups Technical Publication

The user is required to have enabled the following access options to be able to delete Production Group technical publication:

EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > ENGINEERING > PUBLICATION RECORD > DELETE PUBLICATION

 

In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Engineering > Production Group technical publication or enter "Production Group technical publication" in the Quick Search field.

Click the appropriate publication to select it.

Click Delete.

Click Yes to confirm the action.
