Substrate Group

In the substrate group record it is possible to set a grouping for the substrates that will facilitate the paper selection in other records such as to link a paper group to a specification component. For more information, refer to "Specification Component Type.”

In the substrate group it is also possible to set its display type in the Product Specification, that is, if the paper’s grammage, thickness and basis weight will be specified in the Estimate and the Job.

 

Information on the Substrate Group Record Window

Go to Sales > Records > iQuote > Product Specification > Substrate > Substrate Group

Add Substrate Group

The user is required to have enabled the following access options, for adding Substrate Group:

EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > PRODUCT SPECIFICATION > SUBSTRATE > SUBSTRATE GROUP > ADD SUBSTRATE GROUP

 

In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Product Specification > Substrate > Substrate Group or enter "Substrate Group" in the Quick Search field

Click Add. The following screen will open:

Description

Substrate group name.

Display Types

Substrate group’s type of display in the Estimate’s and the Job’s Product Specification, which can be:

Grammage – the user can choose and view grammage in the Estimate’s and the Job’s Product Specification, for the papers linked to this group.

Thickness – the user can choose and view thickness in the Estimate’s and the Job’s Product Specification, for the papers linked to this group.

Thickness in inches – the user can choose and view thickness in inches in the Estimate’s and the Job’s Product Specification, for the papers linked to this group. By selecting it the Precision of 2 decimal places in the displayed value option will be displayed.

Basis size – the user can choose and view basis weight in inches in the Estimate’s and the Job’s Product Specification, for the papers linked to this group.

The selected visualization is displayed in the Product Specification, but all papers are calculated in grammage by the Engineering.

Basis size

Basis size previously recorded that defines the paper weight selected in the Job and Estimate’s Product Specification. For more information, refer to "Basis Size.” This field is displayed only if the Basis size or the Thickness in inches options are selected in the Display Type field.

Active

Indicates if the substrate group will be available for use in the Engineering.

The Associated substrate types tab displays the substrates linked to this substrate group.

In the Translation tab complete the fields as described below:

Field

Description

English

Substrate group name in English. This field is informational only.

Spanish

Substrate group name in Spanish. This field is informational only.

Portuguese

Substrate group name in Portuguese. This field is informational only.

When finished, click Save.

 

Edit Substrate Group

The user is required to have enabled the following access options, for editing Substrate Group:

EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > PRODUCT SPECIFICATION > SUBSTRATE > SUBSTRATE GROUP > EDIT SUBSTRATE GROUP

 

In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Product Specification > Substrate > Substrate Group or enter "Substrate Group" in the Quick Search field

Click the appropriate substrate group to select it.

Click Edit.

Edit as needed. For more information on the buttons and fields on this screen, refer to “Add Substrate Group.”

When finished, click Save.

 

Delete Substrate Group

The user is required to have enabled the following access options to be able to delete Substrate Groups:

EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > PRODUCT SPECIFICATION > SUBSTRATE > SUBSTRATE GROUP > DELETE SUBSTRATE GROUP

 

In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Product Specification > Substrate > Substrate Group or enter "Substrate Group" in the Quick Search field.

Click the appropriate Substrate Group to select it.

Click Delete.

Click Yes to confirm the action.

Note: If the selected substrate group is being used, the system displays a message that it can not be deleted.
