Use The Esko ArtiosCAD Integration in iQuote
iQuote integrates with Esko ArtiosCAD in 3 ways:
- When you select the template (ArtiosCAD design) in the product.
- When you manually select the nesting options before the engineering calculation in Die Layout > Define Layout Manually > Automatic Fit.
- When the engineering is calculated and did not select a nesting Automatic Fit option in the die layout.
Create Estimates with ArtiosCAD Characteristics
After you configure the Esko ArtiosCAD integration, you can create an estimate for a carton box product. (Navigate to Sales > iQuote > Estimate.)
By default, the system displays the main characteristic (in this example, Format – Package):
Do all of the following to use the Package Layouts feature from ArtiosCAD with iQuote:
- Click the name of the format on the Products screen to display a drop-down menu, then select the Esko ArtiosCad Carton characteristic:
The Format Characteristic screen opens.
- On the Format Characteristic screen complete the following fields, as applicable:
- In the Templates Folders field, select the folder directory that contains the carton template.
- In the Template field, select the template model you want to use for this estimate.
- The system automatically populates the Length, Side, and Height fields, based on the value you select in the Template field, but you can modify the values, as permitted by the template.
Tip: The engineering is still calculated, even if the template has an irregular format (i.e., does not include any formatting).
- Do either of the following, as applicable:
- Click Details to define the size of the glue flaps.
The Details screen opens, with the Glue Flap field.
Note: The unit of measure is defined in the Company record and the default value is always equivalent to 10mm.
