Additional Considerations

• The system does not require you to calculate the estimate’s engineering before using the Layout Optimization feature.
• When using Layout Optimization on a product with versions, all versions must be related to an Association, even if not all the versions from a product are related to the same Association component.
• When you confirm the Optimization, iQuote automatically adjusts the layout so that the system no longer automatically changes it during the engineering calculation.
• If you run the Layout Optimization feature with two or more components, confirm it, but then decide to change it, the system may delete the existing Association(s) and create another one, depending on the change.
• You cannot use the Layout Optimization from the Association Layout screen (from an Association component).
• If an estimate includes more than one quantity in the same Option, iQuote applies the same specification across all quantities. In other words, the Association and the Layout Optimization will be the same for all quantities. If you want the Layout Optimization to suggest different layouts based on the different quantities, you must break the quantities into different Estimate Options.
