Product Structure

This record allows storing product structures be used by the system within the product lines, making it possible to inform technical characteristics that are common for similar products. For more information refer to "Product Line".

It represents a product’s list of components and their relationships to each other. The components set in the product structure will be included by default in a new estimate when selecting a product line related to that structure.

To access the product structure go to:

Sales > Records > iQuote > Product Specification > Product Structure

Add Product Structure

The user is required to have the following access options enabled to be able to add product structures:

EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS > PRODUCT STRUCTURE > ADD PRODUCT STRUCTURE

In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Product Specification > Product Structure or enter "product structure" in the Quick Search field.

Click Add. The following screen will open:

Complete the fields in this screen as described below:

Field	Description
Code	Product structure identification code.
Description	Description of the product structure to be displayed in other records.
Active	Indicates whether the product structure is available for use in the system.

On the Default Components tab, click New. Complete the fields as described below:

Field	Description
Component type	Allows the user to select the component type that constitutes the product structure.
Parent component type	Allows the user to specify which component contains the specified component.
Component’s standard name	Allows the user to specify the default component’s name.
Standard English Name	Allows the user to specify the component’s name in English.
Standard Spanish Name	Allows the user to specify the component’s name in Spanish.
Standard Portuguese Name	Allows the user to specify the component’s name in Portuguese.

Repeat step 3 until all necessary components are included.

In the Translation tab the user can define how the product structure name will be displayed in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

When finished, click Save.

Edit Product Structure

The user is required to have the following access options enabled to be able to add product structures:

EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS > PRODUCT STRUCTURE > ADD PRODUCT STRUCTURE

In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Product Specification > Product Structure or enter "product structure" in the Quick Search field.

Click to select the product structure to be edited.

Click Edit product structure.

Edit the substrate type as needed. For more information on the buttons and fields in this screen, refer to "Add product structure."

When finished, click Save.

Delete Product Structure

The user is required to have the following access options enabled to be able to add product structures:

EPS > SALES > RECORDS > IQUOTE > PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS > PRODUCT STRUCTURE > ADD PRODUCT STRUCTURE

In the system’s main menu, click Sales > Records > iQuote > Product Specification > Product Structure or enter "product structure" in the Quick Search field.

Click to select the product structure to be deleted.

Click Delete.

Click Yes to confirm the action.

Tip: In case the product structure selected is being use the system will show a message informing it can not be deleted.
