E-mail provider

The user is required to have enabled the following access options for setting up the email provider:

EPS > ADMINISTRATION > GENERAL RECORD > EMAIL MANAGER > EMAIL PROVIDER

 

In the system’s main menu, click Administration > General configuration > Email manager > Email provider or enter "email provider" in the Quick Search field.

Click Add. The following screen will open:

Complete the fields in this screen, as described below:

Provider

Description

Enter a name to identify the provider.

Use alternative sending method

Check this box if this provider is to be used as an alternative to the main one.

Outgoing mail provider

Host

Enter the provider’s outgoing address.

Note: You can find this information in your email provider’s settings and/or IMAP/ POP.

Port

Enter the provider’s outgoing port number.

Note: You can find this information in your email provider’s settings and/or IMAP/ POP.

Authetication type

Select one of the following options according to what your provider specifies:

Standard – If the authentication is required.

None – If the authentication is not required.

SASL – If the authentication has to be SASL.

Note: You can find this information in your email provider’s settings and/or IMAP/ POP.

SSL v2.3

TLS Type

Select one of the following options according to what your provider specifies:

Without TLS support

Required

Implicit

Explicit

Note: You can find this information in your email provider’s settings and/or IMAP/ POP.

Mode

Select one of the following options according to what your provider specifies:

Both

Client

Server

None

Method

Selects the appropriate SSL or TLS version.

Note: Usually the email provider gives this information, but it may be necessary to test it to find the right one. For help, contact our support team.

PassThrough

Check this box if your email provider is PassThrough.

Note: When this parameter is checked the system ignores the information in the TLS Type, Mode and Method fields.

Incoming mail provider

Host

Enter the provider’s incoming address.

Note: You can find this information in your email provider’s settings and/or IMAP/ POP.

Port

Enter the provider’s incoming port number.

Note:You can find this information in your email provider’s settings and/or IMAP/ POP.

Authetication type

Select one of the following options according to what your provider specifies:

Standard – If the authentication is required.

None – If the authentication is not required.

SASL – If the authentication has to be SASL.

Note: You can find this information in your email provider’s settings and/or IMAP/ POP.

Protocol type

Select the appropriate protocol POP or IMAP, according to your provider’s configuration.

Incoming TLS/SSL

TLS Type

Select one of the following options according to what your provider specifies:

Without TLS support

Required

Implicit

Explicit

Mode

Select one of the following options according to what your provider specifies:

Both

Client

Note: Some email providers such as Gmail may require a specific configuration to allow less secure apps.

Click Save.

Use the Test e-mail sending and Test e-mail receiving button in the toolbar to check if the configuration is correct.
